Thomas Paine, American Revolutionary author said, in part:

"...we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict the more glorious the triumph.  What we attain too cheaply, we esteem too lightly; 'tis dearness only that gives everything its value."

Throughout history our government's leaders have been committed and passionate to their causes.  This is a good quote to remember between now and the final settlement of the debt ceiling crisis. Thankfully, the only king of America is He who reigns above!
